Introduction  ·  Augmented Human Intelligence  ·  SDVOSB

Your people are your advantage.
AI makes them unstoppable.

Your best people are stuck on manual processes instead of the strategic work that moves the needle. We deploy AI that amplifies human judgment, not replaces it, so your team operates at a level your competitors can't match.

The Thesis  ·  Why "augmented" not "automated"

Analysts doing robot work is a strategy problem.

The future isn't AI replacing people. It's people with AI becoming unbeatable. When 80% of an analyst's day goes to data prep, you're paying for expertise you're not using - and your competitor's better-augmented analyst is making the call before yours has finished cleaning the spreadsheet.

Human + judgment

Strategy. Context. Tradeoffs. The call that requires understanding the customer, the market, the room. The part nobody hires a model to do.

"The call only humans should make."

AI + leverage

Data prep. Pattern detection. Routine first-pass synthesis. The machine work that absorbs hours from people you hired for something else.

"The work that absorbs the hours."
03
The Problems  ·  Four patterns we see most

Your team is capable of more. The tools aren't keeping up.

The issue isn't your people. It's that they're stuck doing work that AI should handle. Four patterns repeat across the engagements we walk into.

01

Smart people stuck on robot work.

Your analysts were hired for their judgment, not to copy data between spreadsheets. When 80% of their time goes to data prep, you're paying for expertise you're not using.

02

Failed AI investments.

You've seen the demos. You've hired the consultants. But nothing reached your team's hands. No measurable lift. Just strategy decks collecting dust while your people keep doing things the hard way.

03

Siloed knowledge, slow decisions.

Your team's expertise is scattered across ERP, CRM, spreadsheets, and people's heads. Nobody has the full picture. Great decisions require great information, and right now it takes days, not minutes.

04

Use-case uncertainty.

AI agents, LLMs, copilots - the options are overwhelming. You need a partner who understands your people and processes, identifies where Human+AI creates the biggest multiplier, and actually builds it.

The Practice  ·  Four lines of work, one operating thesis

Four lines of work. One operating thesis.

01
Practice / A

AI Enablement & Strategy

Identify the highest-leverage Human+AI overlap, then build it. Less "AI strategy deck," more "where exactly does augmentation pay back this quarter, and what does the prototype look like by Friday."

  • Opportunity mapping across the team's actual workflows
  • Copilots scoped to specific judgment loops, not enterprise-wide
  • Upskilling so the team owns the augmentation, not the consultant
02
Practice / B

Agentic Workflows & Automation

AI agents for the judgment-light work. Repetitive, rules-shaped tasks - categorization, reconciliation, routing, first-pass synthesis - handed to agents your team supervises. The human stays in the loop where the loop matters.

  • Agent design grounded in the existing process, not the tooling
  • Oversight + escalation patterns so failures route, not hide
  • Shipped to the team that does the work, not the office that bought the tool
03
Practice / C

Sovereign AI Deployments

Privately hosted AI systems for organizations where the data, the model, and the audit trail must stay inside your boundary. Built for regulated industries, government work, and any operator who cannot ship sensitive context to a third-party API.

  • On-prem and private-cloud LLM deployments your team controls
  • Air-gapped and classified-environment-ready architectures
  • Auditable inference, custom guardrails, full data residency
04
Practice / D

Resilient Supply Chain

Augmented planners running tight cycles in volatile markets. AI-driven forecasting, demand sensing, and scenario tooling layered onto the planning function so cycles close in days, not weeks - because the model handles the noise and the planner handles the call.

  • Augmented planning loops grounded in the planner's actual workspace
  • Demand-sensing pipelines tied to live operating signal
  • Scenario tooling for the calls humans should make under uncertainty
05
Representative Outcomes  ·  Composites, not case studies

What augmentation looks like, in the rough shape of real work.

Note The numbers below are representative composites, not specific case studies. They describe the shape of outcomes we plan and build toward in a typical augmented-intelligence engagement. No client, employer, or sector engagement is identified, named, or attributed.
Scenario Target metric Representative delta Unit of value
Ops reporting copilot An analyst team spends most of the week assembling a recurring operations report from siloed sources. An AI copilot handles ingestion and first-draft synthesis under analyst review. Manual report-prep time ~85% reduction Time returned to higher-judgment work
Augmented demand planning A planning team layers AI-driven demand sensing onto an existing forecast process, with the planner adjudicating exceptions and owning the call. Forecast error ~40% reduction Working capital + service-level lift
Onboarding agents A regulated onboarding workflow with sequential manual checks gets agentic decomposition; humans supervise exceptions, agents run the routine path. Cycle time 14d → 3d Customer time-to-active, throughput

Field Notes  ·  How we work, what we believe

We're built like a fire team, not a strategy deck.

The future isn't AI replacing people. It's people with AI becoming unbeatable. TEMaC operating thesis

  1. Strategy-first, prototype-fast.

We don't deliver decks for shelves. We identify where augmentation creates the biggest multiplier, then ship the working version of it.

  2. Humans in the loop, on purpose.

We design augmentation around judgment, not around removing it. An agent that hides its failure modes is a liability. An agent that escalates is a teammate.

  3. The team owns the system.

If your people don't understand how the augmentation works, you've bought a dependency, not a capability. We upskill while we build.

  4. Ops-grade discipline.

We run engagements the way a small unit runs a mission. Tight cycles, clear handoffs, written briefs. The discipline you'd expect from a firm that takes its name seriously.

  5. Veteran-led, by design.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned. The practice carries the cadence and accountability of two decades of operations leadership in environments where execution mattered more than slides.

07
Engage  ·  The rhythm of an engagement

Three phases. The team owns the outcome before we leave.

A typical engagement runs in three phases. The goal is the same in every one: the augmentation works in the hands of the team that does the work, and the team understands it.

01
Phase / Discovery

Find the highest-leverage augmentation overlap.

We map the actual workflows, not the org chart. We name the judgment loops AI should amplify and the ones it should leave alone. You get a written brief with the call.

02
Phase / Build

Ship the working version, fast.

We prototype against a real workflow with a real team. Tight cycles, weekly demos, written changelogs. By the end of the build phase, the augmentation is in someone's hands, not just in a deck.

03
Phase / Run

Upskill until it's yours.

We hand off the system to the team that owns the work. Documentation, training, oversight patterns, escalation paths. When we leave, the augmentation runs without us.

08
Frequently Asked  ·  The questions ops leaders actually ask first

Direct answers to the questions that always come up first.

01
What does an engagement actually look like?

Three phases - Discovery, Build, Run. Discovery is a written brief that names the highest-leverage Human+AI overlap and what we'd build. Build is a working prototype shipped to a real team in tight weekly cycles. Run is the handoff: documentation, oversight patterns, and upskilling so the augmentation operates without us. Most engagements run 8 to 16 weeks end to end.

02
How is "augmentation" different from "automation"?

Automation removes the human. Augmentation removes the machine work the human shouldn't be doing. We design around the judgment loop - the call only your people should make - and hand the data prep, pattern detection, and first-pass synthesis to AI under their supervision. The team owns the outcome.

03
What about data security and sensitive context?

Our Sovereign AI practice is built for exactly this. Privately hosted models, on-prem and private-cloud LLM deployments, air-gapped and classified-environment-ready architectures, full data residency, and auditable inference. For regulated industries and government work, no sensitive context leaves your boundary.

04
Do you replace our existing tools and platforms?

No. We build augmentation that lives inside the workflows and systems your team already uses. The goal is leverage on top of your stack, not another platform to maintain. If a vendor tool fits the job, we say so. If it doesn't, we build the right thing.

05
We tried AI before and nothing reached the team. Why is this different?

Most failed AI investments are strategy decks that never met an actual workflow. We do the opposite: a working prototype in real hands inside the first build cycle, weekly demos, written changelogs, and a handoff that includes the people who do the work. If it doesn't ship to the team, it doesn't count as delivered.

06
Who is the practice and who actually does the work?

TEM&C is veteran-led and SDVOSB-certified. The principal is Will Simmons - Managing Partner, MBA, MSPM, MSIR, retired Lt Col USMC, F/A-18D Weapon Systems Officer with two decades of operations leadership. Engagements are run as small fire teams with named operators, not staffed against a bench you never meet.

07
What industries and engagement sizes do you work with?

We work with mid-market and enterprise operators in regulated, ops-heavy industries - supply chain, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, government, professional services. Engagement size scales with scope: a focused Discovery brief is a small commitment, a full Build-and-Run is the larger one. Send the bottleneck and we'll tell you within a week whether augmentation actually pays back.

08
How do we get started?
